For universities
Your students learn to execute - on their own idea, not a case study.
The Venture Execution Curriculum is a 12-week hands-on curriculum we teach live with your cohort. One idea per team, a named deliverable every week, and a Demo Day where students present what they built, what they learned and what the buyers actually said.
It is education and training, assessed on execution discipline. We do not promise revenue or closed deals on a student's behalf. What we do offer is what comes next: students who want to keep going get NELL GTM Operations support at a discounted student rate.
A product they built
Not a deck or a Figma file. Something a stranger can open, built with the AI tooling professionals actually use.
Practice with real buyers
Students talk to the people who have the problem from Week 2, and learn to write and send a real proposal or pilot agreement.
Evidence they can show
A proof pack, a pipeline they can explain, and a 90-day plan - the things an interviewer, a grant panel or an investor asks for.
A route to keep going
Students who want to carry the work past the term get NELL GTM Operations support at a discounted student rate.
Venture Execution Curriculum
A 12-week hands-on curriculum, taught live with your cohort.
One idea per team, locked in Week 1. A named deliverable every week after that. Students execute the Student Playbook and then the Pro Builder playbook against real buyers, and are assessed on how well they run the motion - not on what the market happens to do.
This is a curriculum, not a revenue promise. Students do real execution work - real buyers, real proposals - but we do not commit to revenue or closed deals on their behalf, and assessment never depends on either.
What we do commit to: students who want to keep going after the term get NELL GTM Operations support at a discounted student rate.

It depends on the size of the group and the shape of your term, so we quote it rather than list it.
No card, no commitment - this is a conversation.

Before you ask
Who teaches it?
The NELL team, live with your cohort - taught against the students’ own ideas rather than a shared case study. It is not a recorded course with a login.
Do you guarantee revenue, customers or closed deals?
No, and we will not put that in a syllabus. This is a curriculum: students execute the Student Playbook and the Pro Builder playbook hands-on, against real buyers, and are assessed on how well they run the motion. Whether a particular buyer signs in a particular twelve weeks is not something we or the students control, and no grade depends on it.
So what does NELL commit to?
The teaching, the weekly deliverables, the toolkit for every student for the term - and afterwards, GTM Operations support at a discounted student rate for teams that want to carry the work past Demo Day. That is a real commercial commitment, and it is the one we can honestly make.
Which playbooks do students actually run?
Both. The Student Playbook shapes Weeks 1–6 - idea lock, ICP validation, build spec, first outreach. The Pro Builder playbook carries Weeks 7–12 - proof pack, objections and battlecard, proposal and pilot mechanics, pipeline follow-through, and the final pitch.
Will it fit our term?
Yes. Twelve weeks, one deliverable a week, shaped around the calendar you already have - exam and deload weeks included. Two weeks are graded live: the Week 6 build review and Week 12 Demo Day.
What do students need to start?
A few hours a week and a laptop. No startup experience, no budget, no audience. Every student gets the full NELL toolkit for the term, so nobody stalls behind a paywall.
What do students get out of it beyond the coursework?
The network, which is the part a syllabus rarely delivers. Cohorts run inside the NELL Vibe Builder community, so students sit alongside working founders, operators, angels and VCs rather than only alongside their classmates - weekly build sessions, office hours with mentors who have shipped, peer review across cohorts, and warm introductions to the buyers, hiring managers and investors already in that room. Demo Day is open to that audience, not just to faculty.
Do students keep access after the term ends?
Yes. Community membership carries on after Week 12 - the alumni channel, office hours and the introductions do not switch off with the grade. Teams that want operating help get NELL GTM Operations support at a discounted student rate.
Who owns what the students build?
The students. The repository, the accounts, the domain and the company if one comes out of it are theirs. NELL takes no equity and no IP from the curriculum, and we ask permission before showing any team’s work publicly.
How is it priced, and how big can a cohort be?
Priced per cohort rather than per seat, so a department knows the number up front. Cohorts run comfortably from a single class up to a few hundred students across teams; tell us the size and the term dates and we come back with a syllabus mapped to your calendar and a number, usually within two business days.
Can it run remotely, or does it need to be on campus?
Either. Sessions are taught live - remote, on campus, or hybrid - and the weekly deliverables and both graded checkpoints work the same way in all three. Most cohorts run remote-live with an in-person Demo Day.
What if an idea does not work out?
Week 2 is built to find that out, before anything is built - and finding it out is a passing result, not a failing one. Assessment follows execution discipline rather than market luck: a signed pilot, a well-evidenced “almost”, and a rigorously documented dead end are all A-range work.
Curious what it would look like on your campus?
Tell us the size of the group and when your term runs. We come back with a syllabus mapped to your calendar and a number - usually within two business days.
